Installing a CD changer, which allows you to listen to many CDs without having to constantly switch them in and out, is an exciting addition to your SUV. SUVs give you a wider variety of possible installation options, due to the increased interior space, especially in larger models.
1 Decide which type of changer you want to install. Velcro straps are an effective solution if you are leasing your vehicle and don't want to drill any holes in the interior of the car.
5 Route the cabling between the CD changer and the existing audio system by prying up the carpeting up with a flathead screwdriver or by removing the running boards underneath the doors and then dressing the cable up underneath the dashboard. You can also use Velcro straps to secure the cabling to the carpet if you are hesitant about running it underneath.
